Today on WDW Photography
That question pops up more often then not when I’m talking to people who don’t “get it” when it comes to Disney. To be quite honest, I cannot usually answer this question to most people. It’s really tough to explain. But I’m going to try here.
Tell us, why do you keep going back to Disney to take photos?

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin by Todd_H
I have to admit, when Buzz first opened (replacing Disney’s Take Flight->Delta Dreamflight->If You Could Fly->If You Had Wings), I didn’t care much for it. I honestly thought the ride was beneath the Disney standard. Today, however, I love Buzz and try to ride it at least a couple of times during every trip. Not sure what changed since that first ride through it back in 1999… I guess it just grew on me. It’s also one of the brighter dark rides which makes photographing it just a little easier. That being said, it’s still near impossible to take a picture of someone on a dark ride as the ambient light is usually not enough to bring out any facial details. For this shot, the bright red scoreboards in the vehicles are what is giving off the red glow. This was taken in the “speed tunnel” section of the ride where riders shoot at projected images flying around in the tunnel.
We have a new WDW Photography video tutorial available. This one is Cory showing you how using live view along with manual focus can help your night shooting.
